Welcome to Ben Adams's Web Page!  Here you can explore everything about me. . . Well, everything I'm willing to share with you, anyway.   This page is kind of a short summary; I had a much larger page set up with all kinds of awesome stuff, but I had to condense it all on this page because I've had trouble with my filebox.   I'll give you a brief overview of my friends and hobbies, and a sample of the many images I've created using Adobe Photoshop 5.0, Bryce 3D, and Poser 3.  You'll also find some of my very favorite links (again, I had a lot more, but I had to condense.)
A bit about myself:  I'm 18 years old, and a freshman at Virginia Tech.  I'm from Herndon, VA, which is right next to Washington Dulles International Airport (my house is about a mile from the airport) and about 20 miles west of DC.  I graduated in 1998 from Herndon High School.  I have one little brother named Greg, 16.  My parents are divorced; my dad lives in Falls Church, which is closer to DC, where he's head of the USAID Department in charge of Bosnia, Serbia, and Croatia.  My mom and brother live in our house in Herndon, and my mom teaches 8th grade English at Herndon Middle School.  I'm planning to major in communications, with a cognate in marketing.  I can do a lot with my voice, so I might do voiceovers or something.
Below are some of the best images I've created with Photoshop, Bryce 3D and Poser 3.  I learned how to use these last year in high school, when I took a computer graphics course.  It's beome one of my favorite hobbies since I got the software onto my computer.  Most of the objects in these pictures were imported into Bryce 3D from 3DCafe.com as .3ds files.  If you're familiar with 3D graphics programs such as Bryce and Poser, this site is fantastic for importing all kinds of objects.   I'll eventually link these thumbnails to enlargements. . .

Above left  is my girlfriend Kim Love.  (Yes, Love.)  We've been together since December 14, 1996.  Needless to say, I love her a WHOLE lot.  She's a year behind me, and she's most likely going to UVA next year.  Above right is a picture of my immediate family.  I had to cut the picture to save
Some space.  Clockwise from bottom left:  My paternal granddad; my mom; my brother Greg; my paternal grandma; my dad; my maternal grandma.

These are my three closest friends.  From left:  Brent, Mike, and my roommate Josh.  I've known Brent and Mike since middle school; I met Josh when we were assigned as roommates.  He's from Pikeville, KY.  Josh and Mike are CS majors, and Brent is a computer engineering major.
Below are my favorite links.  I had summaries for each of them, but again I had to condense.
